Dr. Joowon Kim DDS
Dr. Joowon Kim is a compassionate and experienced dentist dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care in a warm, family-oriented environment. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego (Class of 2001) and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry (Class of 2006).
Dr. Kim is committed to lifelong learning and continuing education to ensure his patients always receive the best and most up-to-date care. He has proudly served the communities of La Palma and Los Angeles for over 15 years, building trusted relationships through his gentle approach and dedication to excellence.
Dr. Kim has a special passion for placing dental implants — restoring proper bite function and helping patients re-discover the joy of eating and smiling with confidence.
Outside the office, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and their two dogs. His commitment to continuous learning, advanced techniques, and compassionate care are at the heart of everything he does at Ohana Dental.
Dr. Dong Whoon Kim DDS
Dr. Dongwhoon Kim is a dedicated and caring dentist committed to providing exceptional dental care with honesty, precision, and compassion. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (Class of 2002) and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry (Class of 2006). Following dental school, Dr. Kim completed his residency at Martin Luther King and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2007, where he gained extensive clinical experience in comprehensive dental care.
A proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and California Dental Association (CDA), Dr. Kim continuously advances his skills through ongoing continuing education to ensure his patients receive the most up-to-date and effective treatments.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Kim treasures spending quality time with his wife, their two sons, one daughter, and two dogs. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and creating lasting memories with his family. His warm personality and dedication to excellence make every patient’s visit a comfortable and positive experience.
